Forum “Archives Under Pressure” 
Archives and other memory institutions are coming under increasing pressure. They must increasingly explain and defend their roles and significance in pluralistic democracies. The participatory forum ARCHIVES UNDER PRESSURE aims to facilitate a practical exchange on these challenges. The event is organized in cooperation with the Democracy Working Group of the Open Archives Working Group, the Bodo Uhse Library, the Center for Open and Responsible Research of the Berlin University Alliance, the DDF – Digital German Women’s Archive, and the TIB Hannover – Leibniz Information Center for Science and Technology.

The Politics & Finances of (Open) Science Reform: A workshop on the socio-economic architecture of the Open Science Movement, May 19 and 20, 2025, hybrid, in English
The aim of the workshop is to create a space for reflection where current research findings on the financial and political dimensions of Open Science and the associated reforms in academia can be discussed and critical debates held. The workshop is organized by Sheena F. Bartscherer (RMZ, HU Berlin) and Sven Ulpts (CFA, Aarhus University).
